ResNet Symposium 2009

Facilities

At SCSU, we have ample space to accommodate the needs of the ResNet Symposium. Our presentation facilities are also equipped with the latest audio, video and control equipment. Below is a listing of the facilities intended to be used during ResNet 2009. All facilities at SCSU are covered by wireless Internet access.




James W. Miller Learning Resources and Technology Center

Miller Center, scheduled for PDS sessions, hosts both SCSU's library resources and the main technology services for campus. The building includes hundreds of computers, a high-tech auditorium, seven electronic classrooms, sixteen student study rooms, and a coffee shop.

Rooms are equipped with state-of-the-art electronics and are tied together with touch-panel control. Rooms are designed to handle Power Point presentations, videotapes, DVD/CD-ROM materials, and offer a PC and/or Macintosh. There are also connections for laptops and other video and audio sources.

Kimberly Ritsche Auditorium

The Kimberly Ritsche Auditorium, directly attached to Stewart Hall, will be the site for the KeyNote Presentation and the Town Hall Meeting.

The auditorium has full audio and video presentation needs and can seat approx. 1,000 persons.

Stewart Hall

Stewart Hall, directly attached to Ritsche Auditorium, will be the location for symposium presentations. The building is the home to the College of Social Sciences, a TV studio, Radio Station and student media facilities.

Atwood Memorial Center

Atwood Memorial Center is the community center (student union) of the university, serving students, faculty, staff, alumni and guests.

Atwood will be the site for the vendor fair as well as some meals and meetings. The building also contains an art gallery, convenience store, coffee shops, various food options and a recreational center offering bowling, billards, foosball and more.
