Upgrading your DSL infrastructure

| Description: | During the summer of 2008, Purdue University upgraded their DSL service utilized in Married Student Housing for approximately 1000 residents. This upgrade involved both migration to a Alcatell/Lucent 7330 FTTN (Fiber to the Node) and deploying Westell Wirespeed LiteLine 6000 modems to the customers. In this presentation, I will discuss the planning, training, execution and follow-up of this operation which involved multiple groups within Purdue. I will also demonstrate the management software used to monitor and maintain the DSL infrastructure. |
