| Description: | The University of British Columbia provides accommodation for more than 8,000 students, faculty and staff in the eight residence complexes that circle the Vancouver campus. ResNet connects the residences to the campus network and the internet. The network traffic quota is 6 GB for every 24 hours during the school year, but is raised to 15 GB in the summer term. This presentation will illustrate what we do to run, monitor, and manage such a complex network, show the network's architecture and the tools we use to guarantee fair network access for all of the UBC residents. |
