New questions or sections to consider

Should we include anything about emergency notification systems or procedures? Mix of technology and residence living? Outside the scope of ResNet? This year our RCCs added this to their list of things to do. Anytime they went to a room, they asked students if they had entered their emergency contact info online and showed students how to do so. Evolution of RCC duties? Maybe added to a list of services ResNet now takes on (if we have a question like that??) Canderer 13:46, 21 November 2007 (EST)

I'm moving this list from an old e-mail to here to keep things in one place. These are some other things people are talking about on the listserv.

• Copyright - RIAA, DMCA, sanctions and consequences, education
• Telephone service in dorms
• Bandwidth/student ratio
• Technology fee (that may already be in 2005 - may need to tweak)
• Mobile units - support/connection of pdas, iphones, blackberries, etc
• Cable TV
• Other connections - xboxes, ps2, etc
• Help desk support (?)
• Student worker pay
• Data security - hard drive encryption (recent topic)
• Educating students - topics: copyright, security, identity theft

administration: who provides, mandatory, how done

• Other duties for RCCs - what besides connection/evolving roles
• Computing seats to student enrollment ratio (Dee's recent survey request)
