The President Elect shall be an officer and voting member of the Board of Directors, which manages the affairs of the corporation, and as such, may exercise all the powers of the corporation. The president elect shall have and may exercise all the powers and duties of the President during the absence of the President. The President Elect serves in the second year of the presidential track, having been elected by popular vote as Vice President, provided that they remain members in good standing.
Duties of the President Elect
(Year Two of Three-Year Presidential Track)
- Orients the Vice President
- Directs the Strategic Planning process
- Coordinates the orientation for incoming board members
- Works with the President
- Focuses efforts in the following areas Director of Conference Management, Director of Member & Volunteer Relations, Director of External Relations
- President Elect shall assume the duties of the President in the absence of the President
- May represent the organization at various conferences and partnership meetings and events
- Serves on the Board Finance Committee
