Treasurer

The Treasurer shall be an officer and voting member of the Board of Directors and will work with the finance committee to assure fiduciary best practices are being followed. The treasurer shall be the chief financial officer and chief accounting officer of the corporation. The treasurer, subject to the direction of the Directors, shall be in charge of general financial affairs, funds, securities, and valuable papers of the corporation and shall keep full and accurate records thereof, shall be in charge of the corporation’s books of account and accounting records, and of the corporation’s accounting procedures. The treasurer shall also have such other duties and powers as designated by the Directors or the president. The Treasurer serves a three year term.
ResNet is incorporated in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a not-for-profit corporation.
- Board Finance Committee - The Board Finance Committee is chaired by the Treasurer of the Corporation and is responsible for the financial oversight of the organization.
- Symposium Finance Committee - The Conference Finance Committee (CFC) is chaired by the Treasurer of the Corporation and is composed of the past, current, and future host of the annual Student Technology Conference, the Director of Conference Management, Director of External Relations, and the current conference program chair. The Treasurer, past host, and Director of Conference Management are the voting members of this committee. The CFC is charged with ensuring a fiscally responsible event as well as the financial sustainability of future conferences.
The current Treasurer is Roy Zumwalt.
